BAPTISM:  Attention parents:  We ask that you contact the Parish Office to arrange to have your baby or young child baptized.  Please plan to attend a pre-Baptism gathering for an update on Catholic teaching including Baptism.  It is not necessary to wait until your baby is born to attend our Baptism gathering.   In fact, most parents tell us it is more convenient to attend during the pregnancy.  Godparents are also invited to this meeting. Please note: we do not baptize during Lent; from Ash Wednesday until after Easter. In 2012, Lent begins Ash Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Easter Sunday is April 8, 2012. Baptisms resume after Easter, 2012.

Requirements to be a godparent/sponsor:

• Prospective godparent must be a Catholic who has received all 3 sacraments of initiation including Confirmation.   
• Must be at least 16 years old
• If married, must be married in the Catholic Church
• Must be able to obtain a certificate of eligibility from their local parish

MARRIAGE:  The Bishops of the Province (Dioceses) ask for a year’s preparation before we celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage.  Our goal is to help you prepare for a life-time of marriage; one that is healthy, grace-filled and ready to stand the test of time.
